Questions

What is Belgium Data Desk?

A free catalogue and research tool for Belgian open data. It brings together data.gov.be, regional and city portals and hand-reviewed national registers, and shows evidence about each dataset: publisher, licence, update cycle, contact and link checks.

Is the data correct?

We describe the catalogue, not the numbers inside a dataset. A dataset marked as checked had a download link that answered with the declared format on the date shown. Always read the publisher's documentation before relying on data.

Can I reuse the data commercially?

It depends on the licence. Open licences such as CC BY or CC0 generally allow reuse with attribution. Non-commercial or custom licences have conditions — each dataset page states the licence group and links to the publisher.

Does it cost anything or need an account?

No. There is no account, advertising or tracking. Analysis of files runs in your browser.
